Here is a variation of the carnival fried Arancini from the Marches. A very simple dough, orange flavoured and really tasty!

a baking tray, a sheet of baking paper, a rolling pin, a large bowl, a knife
Ingredients
Flour: 210 gr
Sugar: 25 gr + 2 spoons
Butter: 20 gr
Eggs: 1
Milk: 60 gr
Baking powder: 1 teaspoon
One orange’s minced peel
How did I do
I kneaded the flour with the 25 gr of sugar, milk, egg and baking powder. When I had a smooth and compact dough, I stretched it on a pastry board sprinkled with flour with a rolling pin. It was about half cm thick.
I sprinkled with the two spoons of sugar and the orange peel.
I rolled the dough to obtain a cylinder and I cut it in slices thick 1 cm.
I put the arancini on the baking tray covered with baking paper ,not too near between each other.
I cooked in the oven at 180°C for about 20 minutes, until brownish on the surface.
I let them cool and served.
