Vanilla cookies

I love to eat every kind of biscuits and as a consequence I love to cook them. They give me the sensation of being the better sweets with which welcome a guest in every moment of the day: not too heavy, delicates, perfect for every kind of beverage because sugary and friable. This is one of the easiest recipe that I know and with a sure result. The good thing of this recipe is that one can modify it changing the extract, with a little gesture a big change in the taste of the dough.

What did I use

A middle size glass bowl, a knife, two baking trays, tro sheets of oven paper, a spoon

Ingredients

00 Flour: 150 gr

Butter: 120 gr

Sugar: 90 gr

Egg: 1

Vanilla extract: few drops

Baking powder: 2 teaspoons

How did I do

I preheated the oven at 180°C.

I kneaded all the ingredients together.

Usually when talking about biscuits one refers to an easy pastry dough: rules to follow in the order are so few. The important thing is to mix the dry ingredients first; then to add the butter roughly (it has to be cut in little pieces and soften out of the fridge or few seconds in the microwave) and at the end to add the liwuid ingredients, kneading well with the hands.

I formed little balls with the dough with the hands and pressed them a little on the baking tray covered with oven paper.

I usually use these measures for two baking trays to put together in the oven with the right cooking modality, because these biscuits grow a lot when they cook and I don’t want them to unite.

I cooked in the oven for about 15 minutes, or until they resulted brown on the surface.

When they were cold, I put some icing sugar on them before serving.
