What did I use
a knife, a little nonstick pot, a pot with its lid, a wooden spoon, a colander, a whisk, a little bowl, a baking tray
Ingredients
Hot dog: 1, classic, pork
Already-cooked sauerkrauts: about 250 gr
Flour, white: 2 tablespoons
Butter: 1 tablespoon+as required to grease the baking tray
Salt/pepper to taste
Minced sage: 1 tablespoon
Cream: 2 tablespoons
Grana Padano: 3 tablespoons
Apple: 1, Red, ripe and sweet
Beef broth as required
How did I do
I dried the sauerkrauts and I put them in the pot together with the peeled apple cut in little cubes.
I covered with the beef broth and I let it cook for about 20 minutes, covered with a lid.
The last minutes of cooking, I added the hot dog, cut in slices.
I dried everything keeping part of the cooking broth in the little bowl. I added the flour and beated with the whisk until it melted.
I let the butter melt in the little nonstick pot at low fire, I added the mixture of broth and flour and I let it become dense.
I added this sauce at the sauerkrauts together with the cream and the cheese, mixing well, and I poured it in the slightly greased baking tray.
I sprinkled with more cheese and baked at 200°C for about 20 minutes.
I served hot. I sometimes prepare them in advance and I heat them the moment before eating them. They are good also at room temperature.
Buon appetito!
