A compact and tasty bread that lasts for nearly a week without getting old. It is the recipe of a friend’s friend, that’s why it is called this way. Perfect both served lukewarm and cold.
Time of preparation
about 5 hours in total
Servings
2 loaves
What did I use
a baking tray, sheets of oven paper, a large bowl, a rag
Ingredients
600 gr flour
1 tablespoon of salt
1 full tablespoon of olive oil
1 teaspoon of sugar
300 ml of lukewarm water
25 gr of fresh beer yeast
How did I do
I melted the yeast with the sugar in the water.
I mixed flour and salt, I added olive oil and finally the mixture of water, yeast and sugar.
I kneaded with my hands for about 10 minutes, until the dough was compact and smooth.
I put it in the bowl again, and I covered it with a wet rag.
I let it grow for about 3 and a half hour.
I cut it in 2 parts and I formed two loaves. I covered again and I spreaded with some oil and water on the surface.
I let it grow for half an hour more and I baked at 200°C for about 40 minutes.
I let it cool and served.
Buon appetito!
