Peanut butter and coffee french toast

One of the thousands alternatives to the classic french toast, creamy, buttery and packed with proteins and energy, perfect also for people who are intolerant to lactose. A good way to start the day at the max!

Time of preparation

5 minutes

Servings

1/2 people

What did I use

a small bowl, a whisk, a spoon, a soup plate, a non-stick pan, a knife

Ingredients

Sandwich bread: 3 slices

Coffee: half a glass

Egg: 1

Peanut butter: 2 spoons

Icing sugar to taste + to serve

Vanilla extract: few drops

Seeds oil as required

Sliced banana to taste

How did I do

In the bowl I whisked egg, coffee, peanut butter, sugar and vanilla. I poured the mix in the soup plate.

I immersed the slices of bread in the batter and I fried in the hot oil in the non-stick pan, flipping upside-down at half cooking (it took few minutes per side).

I let it cool down and dry a bit on some paper towels and I served with the banana slices and some icing sugar.

Buon appetito!
