Orange mug cake

A simple mug cake, super soft and so delicate in the taste, perfect for breakfast or a snack! One can also do a lemon version or a grapefruit version using these fruits instead of the orange. The funniest part about this simple mug cake is trying different agrumes and flavors.

Ingredients

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon whole grain flour

1/8 teaspoon baking soda

1 tablespoon white sugar

1 teaspoon orange zest

1 1/2 teaspoons vegetable oil

2 tablespoons rice/almond milk

1 tablespoon orange juice

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

How did I do

In the bowl, I sifted together the dry ingredients.

To the dry ingredients, I added oil, milk, orange juice and vanilla extract. I whisked until well mixed and free of lumps. I poured in the mug.

I put the mug in the microwave and cooked for approximately 2 minutes at 600W, controlling the cooking every 30 seconds.

I decorated with orange zest and maple syrup and served immediately.
