My sister sent me one of her thousands of experiments of cakes. This apple cake, thanks to the use of the crem, is really super soft and tasty.
Time of preparation
about 1 hour
Servings
a 24 cm mould
What did I use
an electric whisk, a large bowl, a cutting board, a knife, a little bowl, a wooden spoon, a spatula
Ingredients
3 apples
200 gr of 00 flour
50 gr of melted butter (or 50 gr of sunflower seeds oil)
150 gr of sugar
2 big eggs
200 ml of heavy cream
1 little bag of baking powder
1 little bag of vanillin or vanilla beans
2 spoons of icing sugar + 1 spoon
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
almond fleaks as required
How did I do
I whipped with the electric whisk the eggs with sugar and vanilla until a smooth and light batter.
I added the melted butter or the oil and continued to whip with the whisk.
I added flour mixed with the baking powder, alternating it with the cream, mixing.
I washed the apples, dried it, peeled it and cut them in slices. I poured the batter in the mould covered with butter and flour.
I flattened the batter. I put the apples in a circular shape starting for the outside, slightly pressing them.
I did a total of three circles of apples.
I mixed together icing sugar and cinnamon and sprinkled on the surface. I sprinkled with the almond fleaks as well.
I put in the oven, static modality, hot, in the center at 180°C for about 45 minutes.
I took off the oven, opened the mould and let the cake cool.
I decorated with few strawberries, cut in cubes, sprinkled with icing sugar and served.
Buon appetito!
