Tomatoes and red onions salad with basil

A simple salad but with a peculiar flavour, tasty but delicate at the same time. I like to serve it as a side dish with a secound course of white meat or in little portions as a starter or a side dish.

Ingredients

Tomatoes used for salad: 6

Red onion: 1

Minced basil, fresh: few spoons

Balsamic vinegar: 2 spoons

What did I use

a cutting board, a knife, 2 spoons

How did I do

I washed the tomatoes and cut them in slices.

I cleaned the onion and cut it in very thin slices.

Red onion is hot so I find it quite heavy if it’s not cut in very thin slices!

I mixed tomatoes and onion and dressed with basil and balsamic vinegar.

Not putting salt is important to me in this one, because the combination onion-tomatoes-basil-vinegar is very tasty even without salt and in my opinion one doesn’t really need it.

Buon appetito!
