Puff pastry baskets

When nothing is particular comes me in mind to offer to eventual guests for a dinner, I use these puff pastry ‘s little baskets and I invent what to put inside basing of which ingredients i have at home. They are a good alternative to a puff pastry’s pie and one can make them sweet as well!

What did I use

A unique Silicon muffins moulds for 6 muffins, aluminium muffins moulds

Ingredients

Puff pastry: 1 roll

(Sugar if one wants to make the sweet baskets)

How did I do

I unrolled the puff pastry leaving it on its paper.

If one wanst to make the sweet baskets, this is the time to put the sugar on it and let it stick with the help of a rolling pin.

I cut the puff pastry in 4 parts.

I turned the moulds on the back and put the squares of puff pastry in the recesses between a mould and another.

I blocked them putting the aluminum moulds on them so that the puff pastry didn’t grow too much during the cooking.

I cooked them in the oven at 180°C for 20 minutes, taking off the aluminum moulds for the last minutes.

I served hot if salted, cold if sweet, filling them and decorating them depending on what I have in my mind (and in my fridge) in that moment.

As it concerns the picture, I used a spinach, cream and grana padano cream served with ham cut in slices and grilled for few of them and stewed shallots, tomatoes and beans for the others.
