Brisée pie dough

One of the basic recipes for savory and sweet pies of every type, easy, buttery and versatile, a must-know for all the cuisine’s lovers.

about 500 gr of brisée pie dough

What did I use

a pastry board, a rolling pin


Butter: 250 gr (margarine to make it vegan)

Flour: 500 gr

Water, cold: 125 gr

Salt: 15 gr

How did I do

I mixed flour and salt.

I added the butter, roughly broken in pieces, and I started to knead with the fingertips, adding water little by little.

I kneaded well until smooth and compact.

I covered with the plastic wrap and let it stand in the fridge for at least half an hour before stretching it out with the rolling pin and use it for my recipes.
