Chocolate wacky cake

In this vegan cake I didn’t use the baking powder but I used a mixture of baking soda and vinegar. It sounds strange, I know, but the result is weirdly good. Very chocolatey and spongy.

What did I use

a large bowl, a tablespoon, a sheet of baking paper, a baking tray

Ingredients

For the dough

192 gr of white flour

128 gr of sugar

32 gr of cocoa

1 teaspoon of bicarbonate

half a teaspoon of salt

230 gr of coffee, cold

1 teaspoon of white vinegar or apple vinegar

For the decoration

40 gr of dark chocolate, chopped

icing sugar as required

How did I do

I mixed in the bowl with the spoon all the dry ingredients, then I added the liquid ones and I mixed until I had a compact batter.

I reheated the oven at 180°C. I covered the baking tray with oven paper and I poured the dough in it. I inserted the pieces of dark chocolate slightly pressing on the surface of the cake.

I baked for about 20 minutes, controlling the cooking with a stick.

I let it cool, cut in cubes, sprinkled with icing sugar and served.
