Vegan oriental rice

I prepared this dish for a vegan friend of mine. We wanted something fast but tasty and fancy, so here is the result. Sweet and sour taste is perfect with tofu!

What did I use

a wok, a cutting board, a knife, a wooden spoon, a pot


Tofu: 200 gr

Long grain rice: 200 gr

Carrots: half

Thai sweet and sour sauce: 4 spoons

Soy sauce: 4 spoons

Shallots: 2

Yellow pepper: half

Seeds oil as required

How did I do

I boiled the rice and dried it.

I cleaned and cut the shallots, the carrot and the pepper in little pieces.

I let the vegetables cook with a little oil at slow fire for about 15 minutes.

I cut the tofu in little cubes and added it with the rice to the vegetables when they were cooked, raising the fire.

I poured some soy sayce and thai sauce and let it cook mixing well for few minutes more.

I served hot, with some more thai sauce if one likes.
